The FAI has designed a badge to be awarded to pilots who have flown around the world. This was our founder Hans Gutmann's idea
and something he has been working on all year with Art W.Greenfield of the NAA . The regulations for applying have been changed several
times and also the FAI Site is continuously re-organised, so finding things on this Site has become a nightmare. By the time you read this page,
the links below may have been changed again...and may not work.
Obtaining the badge depends on the pilots themselves presenting the relevant information to their FAI representative or their National Aero Club.
The FAI does not publish anymore the list of its members.
Rules for the badge are available at this address: http://www.fai.org/fai-documents
Go to: Sporting Code and Competition Rules Section 2: Aeroplanes
And if you are lucky you may find the Annex 5: Circumnavigator diploma application (104)
IMPORTANT: Pilots MUST optain a FAI Sporting Licence from their National Aero Club before the start of the flight.
