Report

Cape Town, March 2008

Table Mountain standing proud over Cape Town is a sight to take one´s breath away, as is the view from its lofty heights as one gazes on the city below. To this compelling city, a hardy group of Earthrounders converged to form a small but convivial assembly at the tip of the African continent, hosted by Dorise Hettlich. We were treated to glorious weather, great food ?not to mention wine ?and especially honoured by the offer of a flying spin above the city by various members of the Stellenbosch Aero Club, Frank Hettlich´s favourite stamping ground.

If you were unable to attend, you can find out who was there and what was said, as well as see what they got up to, by visiting the photos and additional pages reporting on the meeting.

This time, only one Earthrounder aircraft came to the event: Honey Mooney flown by Flemming and Angela Pedersen, who were making one of their habitual continental detailed reconnaissance flights. (PHOTO) We hope that many more aircraft will make it to the next meeting, which is to be held in Brazil in 2010.
