We have created 2 Data Bases of all the known flights around the World
and an Index of all the names cited on the Site.
DATA BASE 1:
The Data Base is "searchable".You can search it by entering any of the following criteria, and then by pressing the "Search Records" Box. You can also click on the thumbnail photo to view a full size photo of the aircraft. The "search" parameters can be any of those:
DATA BASE 2:
The Data Base is also "searchable".It contains the names of ALL Earthrounders, pilots, copilots and passengers. You can search it by entering any Earthrounders' names (pilots, copilots and/or passengers) then by pressing the "Search Records" Box. Example: Entering the name 'POST' or the name 'GATTY' will show the same flight.(Post and Gatty, 1931 in Winnie Mae). You can also click on the thumbnail photo to view a full size photo of the aircraft. INDEX OF NAMES:
In order to make it easier to search for names on the Site, an Index is being created which, when completed,
will include all the names used on the Site. SOME STATISTICS: Total number of RTW to this day = 320 Flights with crew = 219 Solo Flights = 101 Gender of Pilots in Command: Male = 295 Female = 25 Class of Aircraft: Single engine = 187 Twins = 93 Homebuilts = 17 Helicopters = 13 Others = 7 Most common Brands of Aircraft: Beechcraft = 69 (Bonanzas = 44) Piper = 58 Cessna = 60 (C210 = 14) Mooney = 23 By Route: Eastward = 227 Wesward = 66 Via the Poles = 3 By Nations with most RTWs and the ratio of RTW per 100 million, (approx): USA = 144, 34 Germany =35, 29 UK = 27, 41 Australia = 23, 100 Switzerland = 14, 113 France =10, , 13 Etc.. For nations with less than 8 RTWs, please consult the Data Base. |
