Leg 5: Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia (1168 nm)
After flying around New Zealand for a few weeks, it will be time to head for Sydney, Australia.
It's amazing how far south New Zealand is relative to Australia. I'll actually be flying northwest to get to Sydney which is in the southern third of Australia.
Sydney is a fascinating city, with a lot to see. Then I'll be off to visit Tasmania, Cairns, Alice Springs and hopefully many other places in Australia.
As this trip progresses, there will be updates with pictures and lots of flying stories.
Final stop will be in Darwin for an oil change and checkup before the next set of long ocean crossings.
